For the purposes of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (“FADP”) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) together with the Data Protection Act 2018, the data controller is Financial Market Access Solutions Holdings AG at the address above. Because we collect personal data from individuals in the United Kingdom, this policy is designed to meet the requirements of both the FADP and the UK GDPR.
[If applicable] Our representative for UK data-protection matters is [name / contact].
3. What personal data we collect
| Data | When & why |
|---|---|
| Name, email, organisation, area of interest, message | When you submit the enquiry form or email us — to respond to your enquiry and provide course information. |
| Course registration & administration data | If you enrol on a programme — to manage your training, assessments and certification preparation. |
| Technical data (IP address, browser, device, pages viewed) | Automatically, via server logs and any analytics/cookies — to operate and secure the Site. |
We do not intentionally collect special-category / sensitive personal data through the Site. Please do not send us such data via the enquiry form.
4. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- To answer enquiries and provide our services — performance of a contract / pre-contract steps, and our legitimate interest in responding to you (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(f); FADP processing for the stated purpose).
- To send course updates or marketing — only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- To operate, secure and improve the Site — our legitimate interest in a safe, functioning website.
- To comply with legal obligations — where the law requires us to retain or disclose data.
Under the FADP we process personal data in good faith, proportionately, and only for the purposes stated here or otherwise evident to you.
5. Cookies & analytics
The Site uses only the cookies necessary for it to function[, and — with your consent — analytics cookies to understand usage]. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. [If you add analytics or marketing cookies, implement a consent banner and list the providers here.]
6. Sharing & disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g. website hosting, email, CRM, analytics), bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms;
- Awarding/examination bodies where this is necessary to register you for an examination you have chosen;
- Authorities or advisers where required by law.
7. International data transfers
Your data may be processed in Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the EU/EEA. Transfers between these regions are protected by recognised adequacy decisions (the UK and the EU recognise Switzerland as providing adequate protection, and Switzerland and the EU recognise the UK) and, where needed, by Standard Contractual Clauses / the UK Addendum or equivalent safeguards. [Confirm the safeguards used by your hosting/CRM providers.]
8. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry data for [e.g. 24 months] after our last contact, course administration data for the duration of your programme and [e.g. up to 6 years] thereafter for record-keeping, and technical logs for [e.g. 12 months], unless a longer period is required by law.
9. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the FADP you may request to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted, or its processing restricted;
- receive your data in a portable format, or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing).
To exercise any right, email info@ftrc.org.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by the applicable law.
